Don’t Give Up

It’s time to learn to not give up.

I’m one of those people who starts a million different things and never finishes one.

Any tiny inconvenience and I quit.

The first failure I give up.

The tiniest bit of doubt or opposition from someone else and I’m out.

Don’t give up.

Please for your sake and mine, don’t give up.

I am learning to follow through and fight for what I want. To keep my head up even after the first attempt, because in life, it usually take more than one attempt.

I am learning not to listen to others when it comes to what K really want to do in life.

I am learning to take my time and of I do give up, know that I can pick it up tomorrow, next week, even next year. Maybe the time want right.

Don’t give up.

I recently have been trying to get into meditation as a new self care daily thing.

I;ve tried before and I have quit.

I have tried again, been ridiculed, and quit.

I tried buying all the pretty things you can to help you meditate and it really helped! Then I was judged and I quit.

I’m trying again. I’m building a meditation space, or I was. Until it got in the way, I was judged and I want to quit.

I won’t, but I want to.

This is why I need meditation. This is why I need to work on following through and not giving up. Because this has nothing to do with other people, and everything to do with being personally stronger.

This may seem selfish to some, it may seem silly to others, no matter how many times I get told I can’t do it, I won’t do it, I will. Even if when I do I learn it’s not for me, I tried it for myself and even if I made those silly purchases, they’ve helped, and are only silly to those who think so.

We have to fight for what we believe in, in the things that we want to do, especially when it goes outside of the social norm, away from the stressful bustle of the everyday.

I am what can be considered an empath, I feel deeply, I notice the energies around me and can be easily influenced by how others feel about what I am doing. Meditation is supposed to help stay in tuned with your own mind and body, to focus on what you want, on everything positive. I will try, first meditation, someday yoga, and in the future anything I want to try, anything I want to do.

Don’t give up on your dreams, and never give up on yourself.

This is my life, this is me. Only slightly filtered and completely honest this is the journal of my life and my way of coping with the everyday.

2 throughts on "Don’t Give Up"

  1. My husband thinks meditating and yoga is complete hoccus poccus, and sometimes I do too! But I like it so I do it anyways and sometimes I think I do believe in it all! I find that meditating after doing my yoga set works best for me! I’m sure it would be the same after a quick workout too… if you don’t do yoga yet, learning a simple Flow set (4-5 positions you do over and over in a sort of rhythm until your pooped!) might be a good alternative to practice right before your meditation. I find it helps to keep you concentrating on the present (how your leg muscles feel, how fast your heart is pumping, what hurts, what doesn’t ect..) and less distracted on what happened earlier that day or god forbid work!

    1. This is great advice! I find meditation after gentle stretching works for me, which is close enough to yoga! 😛 Thank you for this! 🙂
